post Dog Photographer Of The Year – Dogs At Work

September 21st, 2008

Filed under: News — Steve Collins @ 4:56 pm

My carriage dog image – ‘When I Grow Up’ – has just been placed runnner-up in the Dog Photographer Of The Year 2008 Competition – Dogs At Work category (See Telegraph article here). The image will be displayed alongside all the other winning pictures at the Discover Dogs Show at Earls Court in November. Meanwhile I’ll be eagerly awaiting the spoils of my success – a “Snappy Snaps” gift set ;) )

I’m also pleased to announce that  “Rupert Goes Vertical” will be appearing as a special feature in the Autumn Edition of Nikon World magazine and has also been selected for entry into the prestigous 3rd Fédération Internationale de l’Art Photographique Club’s World Cup in Paris later this year (alongside another one of my images: “Big Mick”).

Rupert Goes Weeble!

Momofoto regular – Rupert – adopted a new style at the Dash ‘n’ Splash at Paws In The Park today. Rather than the usual ‘vertical’ approach, he seems to be favouring the ‘Weeble’ look :)

More images from Paws In The Park will be posted to this site early next week. Thanks for your patience!

Paws In The Park 2008 - Practice Day

Jasper - A Potential Future Star for the Dash 'N' Splash?

Paws In The Park 2008 got off to a flying start today with practice sessions in the Dash ‘n’ Splash and  Dash ‘n’ Grab pools. Some of the regular star performers were in attendance – including Rupert, Cody and Chaz – along with a host of exciting new ‘talent’ including Rupert’s younger brother ‘Magic’! Magic showed some real potential in the Dash ‘n’ Splash pool, but looks like some refinement of technique wouldn’t go amiss ;)

The action kicks off in earnest tomorrow and continues on Sunday. Read more about Paws In The Park at www.pawsinthepark.net
