In February 2010 I am taking part in an exhibition at The Tunbridge Wells Museum and Art Gallery, celebrating the unique sandstone outcrops that can be found in and around our town and the surrounding High Weald.
The High Weald sand rocks have fascinated residents and visitors for over 6000 years. They have provided an unchanging backdrop for a story that stretches from prehistoric hunter-gatherers, through Georgian and Victorian holidaymakers, to the present day. This exhibition uses historic images and objects from the Museum collection, along with newly commissioned art work, to explore how generations of people have responded to the rocks as places of wonder and mystery.
I am keen to hear from anyone who has a close connection with the Tunbridge Wells Rocks and who would be interested in having their portrait taken for inclusion in the exhibition. If you are interested, please email me at steve@momofoto.co.uk or call me on 07872 61160.
Apologies to all those Dash ‘n’ Splashers and Splash ‘n’ Grabbers who were eagerly awaiting the images from this years Paws In The Park 2009 at The Hop Farm.
On Sunday 2nd August we covered the “Premier Groom” grooming competition at The Kennel Club Building, Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire. With a top prize of £1000 for ‘Best In Show’ this event attracted top groomers from all over Europe.
The ACES High Flyball team pulled together a competition that wowed the crowds at The Kent County Show, Detling over the weekend. We were there to capture the action and all images from Saturday and Sunday’s racing have now been uploaded.

Those who know us, know we have a dog called Ziggi. Ziggi is a gorgeous Rough Collie / Hungarian Puli cross that we have been sharing our lives with since September 2008.
Well Ziggi is making quite a name for himself on the photo-sharing website, Flickr. Not only have 10 shots of Ziggi made ‘Explore’ (The 500 ‘most interesting shots’ on Flickr, picked each day from the 1 million+ that are uploaded), but he also had a recent appearance on the official Flickr ‘Blog’.
So in celebration of Ziggi’s new found fame on Flickr, here’s a quick slideshow of some of his ‘best bits’ over the last 9 months

Mystified by Off-Camera Flash? Well Don’t Be!
The digital camera revolution has opened up a whole, new style of flash photography. With just a camera, a small flash gun (or strobe) and a few basic accessories, you’ll have access to an exciting new world of imagery. Not only is this style of shooting easy, it’s portable too – so you can take these techniques with you wherever you go.
In fact the hardest part of learning this style of shooting is getting out there and doing it! And that’s the purpose of this lighting workshop. A series of hands-on, information-packed sessions during which you’ll learn about the components that make up a basic, one-light kit, how to manipulate light to give your images real punch and how to shoot and review using your camera to get just the results you want. We’ll end up shooting with experienced models, so that you can concentrate on putting the techniques into practice.
The cost for this 6 hour workshop is just £50 and limited to 6 participants. For more details, please email steve at steve@momofoto.co.uk.
“….. came away with a head full of groovy new vocab (slave! gobo! shoot-thru… er.. snoot!) and a stash full of mind-busting ideas… thanks for a strobe-tastic day!” TR
… just want to say thanks again Steve. Great session, teacher, models, fellow students, tea and biscuits! What better way to spend a Saturday! “ JB
